Hey
i'm a new member and i drive a 98 T4R w/ 400,000+ kms on it. i'm looking to do work to the engine and bust atleast another 200 000 out of it. i have had the truck for many years now and have kept it properly maintained. the only problem it currently has is a bit of a studder in acceleration when i give'r.
any suggestions on what i can do to not only get more life out of it but also improve performance?

There aren't any chips out there that are worth a crap for our engines. If you have studdering/hesitation during acceleration, it sounds like you have a slight miss. Do you ever get a check engine light? How old are your plugs and wires?

Most would agree, the best way to add significant performance would be the TRD supercharger with the URD fuel upgrades. Besides that, exhaust, headers, deckplate mod, and ISR mod will give you a little bit more power, but mostly they just make it louder so you feel like you're going faster. :)

yeah check your plugs wires, possibly the coil packs and or the fuel filter.

as brian2sun stated there is not a chip out there that does anything, cold air intakes dont really do much either, as generally they really only suck hot air from the engine bay and radiator.
