How to fender mod? 265/65r18 bfg

Hello All,

After deciding on an Icon lift, my wife and I are trying for another kid, so.... I'm considering holding off on the lift, until I decide if we need 3rd row sequoia :noidea:


So, here's the question: 2009 V8 Limited with XREAS, how much fender lining / cutting to get some new 265/65r18 BFG KOs in there?

I have the 265/65/17 BFG KOs on my stock XREAS. It rubs a little on the passenger front. How much bigger are the 18s? An inch?

i am running 285/65/18 and i cut nothing, removed the front flappers but also moved the fender liner up a little. no cutting on the fender liner just trimmed the bottom corners of the bumper a little like this.

how the hell is this possible with 0mm offset? im running 15mm offset 1.25" wheel spacer and rub pretty bad even with mudflaps off and 265/75/16's

im running 275/65/18, i removed front mudflaps, then pushed liner up a little bit and it does the job. no cutting.

BAM....yes

first one is with 275/70/18 bfg rugged trail ta




second set is with 285/65/18 BFG All terrain ta ko's

Mine is just about 3.8 on both and it drives really tight which I like but I think that may be why I rub so badly..

I ran 265/70r17 (should be the same overall size as 265/65r18) Nitto Terras on stock, non-XREAS suspension for a few months with zero rubbing at all. Seeing the bigger tires fill the wheel wells really made me want a lift asap though...

Thanks for all the input guys, I'm not running spaces yet, I have heard that they can make it harder to stuff tires w/out lifts.

I do like the look though
