How to fix gas cover?

I've had 2 12s in my car for a while and now the gas cover has become very loose. I'm not talking about the screw down gas cap, but the cover to the cap itself. Whats a good way to fix it and make it flush with the car again?

I would like to know this as well.

If I leave my cover so its flush with the body, every time I open the cover the inside edge rubs. Now I just leave it so it isn't flush with the body anymore to avoid rubbing more paint off.

Did I explain this correctly?

I know exactly what you are talking about. Pull the cover off and trim that part down. I used a small dremel tool to trim it down. Worked like a charm.

GOOD IDEA, once it stops raining I'll do that. ( :redbrick: can't believe I didn't think of it)

put some foam tape around the inside edge and it stops rattles.
