How to?? Hood Latch removal. (Plastic pull latch lower driver side)

The cable for the hood release has popped off the plastic pull switch in the cabin.
There is no issue with the cable. I can pull on it and the hood release operates normally.
There is zero room (and its upside down) to properly reattach the cable to the plastic pull switch.
Is there a method to remove the pull switch to reattach the cable without tearing apart the entire lower dash?

Funny I have the same issue. I removed the lower dash when installing my remote start a couple months ago and had trouble getting the cable re-attached to the latch handle.

I tried my best to get the cable attached after installing the panel back, but I couldn’t get the cable seated.

Long story short I haven’t fixed it yet. I will at some point just have been lazy. I’m going to say it will be easier to try reattaching with the panel off again.

Too funny I just dealt with this a few days ago. You have to clip the metal rod into place first on the latch and then pull the cable to have enough room to slide the back piece into the yellow clip.

I can’t upload photos from my phone for some reason, but this thread helped me figure it out. This is one of those things that is so simple that you’ll laugh about it once you figure it out, I managed to cut up my thumb pretty good before finding that thread.
