How to install 12v plug???

I want to install a 12v plug under the dash on the driver's side for my Garmin.

Can someone explain how or point me to a link??

There are several options. Just did this not too long ago.

Why not just hardwire it? I ran my wiring behind the dash and out through the vents on the dash at the windshield. Did the same with my radar detector.

this is easy too, just tap a 12v accessory source and ground it and your good to go.
