How to Manage Email Alerts?

So it seems we have updated the forum recently, which is nice. I do like the addition of neat little features like OP to mark the original poster in a thread. Unfortunately there are a few things that are driving me up the wall. Apparently now when you quote someone it pops up on a tally like your "Likes Received" except its also emailing me an alert that someone quoted my post. I really don't need my email filling up with notifications that someone quoted me. Does anyone know how to manage this feature?

You can turn off the notifications under the user cp. But that will turn off ALL notifications including pm's. It will still give you a notification in the top right of the forum page though. I will probably turn off my notification e-mails too because I am on this site enough that I don't need an e-mail notification for anything. As long as I see the notification tab on the top right of the forum page, that is all I need. Hope this helps.

Well, I was hoping for a more specific method. But, I am also on here so frequently I really don't need the email notifications. Thanks I'll try that for now.

Yea, sorry. There isn't a way to select which notifications to turn on/off. See the thread in my signature "how to improve this site" or find it in the off-topic section. There is some discussion there about the notifications among other things. Feel free to speak your mind there, the admin is reviewing that thread and taking everyone's input on what to improve on the forum.
