How to mount rear mounted light bar

Anyone know how to go about mounting a light bar below the rear spoiler. I tried asking the owner of the 4runner, but no answer.

Brackets look to be mounted to the sheetmetal of the hatch itself.

If I was looking to mount a full rear lightbar I'd look at getting the brackets that work on the front of my roof rack and using them at the rear.

That said, I hadn't previously thought about mounting a rear lightbar (even though I want more light on my truck than anyone probably needs...). What's the use case scenario hear?

Full lightbar? Not sure... some smaller 2x2's for backing up at night or on the trail wouldn't be bad... but a full bar seems like a waste.

The light bar in the pic is actually a "brake light" light bar. It mimics the brake lights but not sure if it does turn signals too.

If you didn't want to drill into your sheet metal, you could mount it into the rear spoiler maybe.

I've got a 20" I've been thinking of mounting underneath the rear spoiler. Mostly as a back the f*** off light. Haven't gotten around to actually doing it yet though. I"d be interested if anyone else has.

I was thinking of doing the same thing with a curved light bar that would replace the rear spoiler... or if I have time integrating a single row curved light bar inside of the spoiler and trimming it out so that it was completely flush. I think that your best bet would be to remove the spoiler and see if the light bar could go inside of it somehow or completely ditch the spoiler and put just a light bar back there.

I really like the idea of mounting it flush inside and replacing the brake light. I think that would be pretty sweet. I might look into it.
