How to remove 3rd gen marker lights.

I am getting some new marker lights here soon and found out it was pretty hard to get the lights off. So i figured it out with help on YotaTech and decided to make a video and make a how to thread on here so there is a good one. I will put a link to the video in about 20 min when it uploads.

These are the only tools you need, a screw driver, and a long screw driver or something similar.

First remove the screw on top of the light next to the fender. this is the only screw that you need to remove.

Next get your longer screw driver and wedge it between they fender and the back of the light.

Then push your hand forward and keep the screw driver wedge between the fender and light and it should pop off.

i removed one of mines this summer, had a leak in one and a small pool of water inside it, I'll change it this summer, thanks for the pics

when i switched mine to clear i got mine out with a mallet and pure rage....

Don't know if it was mentioned before, but you can pull these puppies out just with your hand. Just pull towards the front. I'd be the one to screw up the body by using a screwdriver or something to pry it off !

Yea i tried the first time with my hands, but the first time is the hardest because of the tabs that hold it in, once you get it off once it is easier.

I wish I had been a little more careful with the tail light.... lol, only has the screws holding it in now, I figured that if I just pulled harder it would come out.... it did but I was pulling the wrong way and broke off the clip.

On a good note i got my new marker lights today!! well actually they were delivered 4 days ago but i didnt see them because the mail man decided to hide them!!! Thanks a bunch trailhead98!!
