Knock sensors arent that hard: made a simple how-to video

Doing this job a second time..… I figured I’d make a how-to video since there’s only a couple of them out there, usually involving taking out the injectors and fuel rails. There’s really no need to remove those, or any hoses even, to do the job.

All you need are the sensors, wiring harness, and the intake gaskets.

If I wasn’t filming, the whole job would only take about an hour, two if I had to clean all the gasket surfaces and manifolds again.

Well, you don't need to remove the fuel rails, unless you're planning on swapping out your injectors as part of this job, or sending them out to a company to be cleaned and flow matched. Then, you do need to disassemble the fuel rails.

oh yeah let me be clear your video definitely helped me out, i was just worried going into it as someone who just wanted the codes to go away to pass emissions without overcomplicating it. I was seeing people talk about how hard it is, how you must replace a bunch of single use washers and o rings and stuff, or that taking the fuel rails off actually makes it easier, but it turned out to be pretty straightforward without doing it. I wasn’t upset that i had to do it twice because i tried ebay sensors the first time
