How to remove steering wheel?

Hey all, I know I saw a good write up removing the steering wheel a while ago, but now I can't find it now and didn't save it either. I need a little directions because I didn't have oem fogs on the truck, but had the factory wiring underneath, so added them without replacing the turn signal/headlight stalk. No luck so figure I'll replace the factory switch to run the fogs, but need to get the steering wheel off to replace it.

And if you're wondering, yes I installed a new relay as well. So to answer all the other threads wondering if oem fogs would work without changing the stalk, the answer (in my case) is no.

If you have the factory wiring for the fogs, I would think the stalk would be the same also. Are you sure its different?
I think I remember the write-up your referring to. If its the one I think it is, the person was replacing his steering wheel with a Lexus wheel.
Someone also posted a write-up about replacing the winshield wiper stalk and didn't have to remove the wheel, you might search that too.

yea, I'm sure it's a different stalk. The one with the switch for the fog light actually has the extra swtich with the fog indicator, whereas the one I have doesn't have the switch. But, I'll look into not removing the steering wheel - dealer told me it had to be removed so I just took their word.

Awesome! Thanks for the thread. Took less than 20 minutes to change out the stalk and all works as it should. Dealer wanted $80 to $100 depending how "complicated" it would be once they got into it.
