How to remove the aux input in the center console?

Hi,
I picked up 07 Limited today and I love it so far.
The only problem (owner did tell me) is that the aux input in the center console needs to be replaced. The previous owner broke off a tip of an input jack and got stuck there.

How do I remove that portion of the console? Do I need to remove the entire console? I am sure other members had the same problem given the location of the aux input.

This is the same problem i have. Just picked up a 4runner and tip is broken inside aux port

Pull up the trim around the shift column, it's held on by about 4 clips. You should be able to see the front of the storage compartment. Just unclip it a press it into the storage compartment and you should be able to unplug it from there.
