how to remove the limited cladding and flairs?

i need some info on how to remove the cladding and flairs on my limited the right way.....tips and links would be nice... i will be vinyl wrapping my rig this weekend and need them off to make the job easier. TIA

see all the holes everywhere... its gonna take a lot of bondo and sanding to fill those not to mention time

If vinyl wrap will stick to bondo then you don't have a problem. I could have all those holes filled and sanded in 2 hours. This process is going to scuff up the paint around the holes no doubt so if you ever take the vinyl off then I'd plan on truck bedlining where the flares were for cosmetic reasons. May want to paint around those areas that get scuffed up to prevent rusting.

Perhaps he plans on taking the trim off only to apply the wrap, then putting them back on... IDK, but I'm interested to see how it turns out!

bingo! thats exactly what i plan on doing..... that is why i need them off the right way so that i can avoid breaking anything.... so for the ones who have removed them, gimme some tips please :hungry:
 
yes the whole body is getting a matte black wrap... i will probably make a different thread with some pics whens its all done

yea a wrap can get pretty pricey especially if you have it installed.... im not loaded so i decided on a cheap film and also to do it myself.... if it comes out looking like $hit, i'll rip it off in a heart beat and not feel so bad. if it comes out good, this can be an alternative to getting a paint job for rigs with tired paint

:lol::keyboard::smashputer:its a curse... you know how many times ive emailed this guy and or called the number to come take a look at if and get stuff from it and never gotten a person or had a call/message returned... im starting to just flag the post every time i see it now cause the jerk wont reply to anyone(ive had other people call and email about it too) i wanted to buy/offered to buy the whole truck and all the extra axles and parts 6-7months ago for $2500, nothing:wtf:
 
Its going to be really hard not to break any of the clips. Just try to pull them strait out instead of at an angle. But I'd plan on having to buy a few replacements at the dealership. I think they are around $1 each. Good luck.
