How to remove window switches in a 4th gen

Hey guys. Same as many of you, I'm trying to figure out a way to get illuminated auto switches on the driver's door. How do you remove the window switch panel in a 4th gen? It's a long piece, but I can't tell if it can be removed from the door without removing the entire door panel.

PITA. Be careful when you pop out that plate behind the interior door handle. Use a rubber screwdriver head, otherwise you'll scuff or scrape the hell out of the area.

A/V, Please let us know when and how you get the driver's door switches illuminated. There are several here who would like to do this mod. Good luck with this endeavor.
