how to retro fit, or other options?

Got my hid's aiming to high and i've adjusted all the stock settings available but they are still blinding people everywhere i go, is there a DIY video on retrofitting 3rd gen t4r, or other options that can make the lighting aim down like a replacement casper shield or something?

Are they 35 watt or 55 watt? Stock headlights or newer clear headlights? 5000ks are bright as hell, you picked a very BRIGHT color.

I aimed my 35w 6k down a little from stock height (+3 inch front lift)and I havent been flashed yet.

3" front lift to aim the HIDs down? how does that work, if you raise the front wouldnt it just aim higher up?

Only thing I can suggest is that the "frosted" affect of the headlights is causing a weird light pattern with the HID bulb.

Sorry - I lifted the truck 3 inches front and rear , so it sits 3 inches higher that a stock 4runner.
I aimed the lights slightly lower (maybe 3-4 inches) from where they sat with the lift.
Honestly the easiest way I could think of to aim the lights was to park my rig 20 feet behind my wife's accord and just tweek the lights down until the light wasnt creeping over the trunk lid.
I dont think there is a wrong way to aim the lights, just find something you can use as reference and start tweeking.

how did you manage to aim the lights, my stock brackets that hold the lights in are not moveable and must be clipped in and held in one place, i was just wondering how you aimed it lower.

can you not access the adjuster screws? The white "nuts" near the bulb itself?

that white nut to tighten with a wratchet? i tightened it as much as i can, it was this nut in the circle..

I assume you've tried doing it both ways?

Are your HIDs from DDM? Maybe you don't have the shield right.

they are not DDM

Did a shield come with them?

yeah it did come with a shield, i thought it was weird because when i installed them they only fit in one way and the shield is facing upwards.

The shield should be set so that it forces the light up into the housing. The exposed part of the bulb should be facing up.

everything's proper so i just need to figure out a way to angle them down somehow.
