How to rout mag mount to cb?

Hey guys got my first cb as a recommendation for something not permanent. It's a midland 75-822 with a little wil mag mount and whip. I need to rout the cable but not sure how.

I've been searching but most threads pics are long gone and I'm a visual learner haha. can anyone assist me the best non permanent way to do this? I've heard of a vent in the back but not sure what to do after that, I don't want the cord to be flapping in the air as I drive.

Run it in one of the back doors and up to wherever you have the radio. I had mine like that for months and the weather stripping is fine.

Keep your excess cable in the interior. Wrap it with zip ties and tuck it somewhere behind a trim panel.

If you coil the cable up, you're going to have terrible signal loss...

Nowhere did I recommend coiling the cable. It can be stored in a long, cylindrical shape and ziptied in the middle to keep it in that shape.

One could say that running the cable IN one of the rear doors wouldn't be prudent, but we all know you meant running it into the doorjamb, not the actual door.

Won't the door bend on the cable or are you saying to go in between the weather stripping and frame? If it rains won't it leak into the vehicle?

I never had any problems. Just throw the wire in and shut the door...
