How to treat tiny rust spot?

I have 07 silver 4Runner. There are five very tiny rusting spots on my back door and back frame. Each has the size of tip of ball pen.

Just wondering if there are any easy ways other than send it to body shop to remove those rust spots and prevent it extending?

Try a claybar on the affect areas. It might be contaminents like rail dust or environmental fallout. It seems too small to make an attempted DIY repair which will make it stand out even further.

In summer time they don't bother me. But right now in winter season especially with lots of snow, I can see rusting water mark come from those spots. It's hard to remove even after car wash and I have to rub it out by using my finger.

I would wash it off real good and use touch-up paint from the dealer since it's only a size of a ball point pen.
