Howard Stern on Sirius.. What did you think?

Personally I think that the change to satellite will be a death blow to terrestrial radio.
Say what you will about the guy but you're dealing with a genius when it comes to self marketing.
I'm anxious to see if Sirius will double it's subscriptions again by the end of 06.

I didn't catch the entire show but I did listen to the first hour. There were some funny parts, but it started off very slow. Too many technical glitches, which isn't surprising because it is his first show. I like the intro music Howard chose!

Howard said on his show that subscriptions are up to 3 million for Sirius. You couldn't even get through to Sirius yesterday because so many people were signing up. He said that the show is paying for itself so things must be good for Sirius.

like him or not, he is a hit with the prepubescent humor in the 15-25 year old white male crowd. They never seem tired of his lesbian spanking humor.....

only intelligent exchange from Stern was when he went after FCC Chairman Michael Powell in the FCC hearings.....gee, isn't it interesting that Michael Powell, son of former Sec of State and 4 star general Colin Powell, got to be FCC chair without ever having any experince in FCC regulations of management?????? It wasn't because of his father, was it????

But like Larry Flynt of Hustler, at least Stern made it up the ladder himself. I don't care for his scatological obsession, but it sells and he made his millions his way.
