Hey Everybody,

I have joined the club finally and bought a 4runner. She is my first Toyota and so far I love her. She is a 03 sport with the v8 and TRD dual exhaust. 100K and counting.

hey Maineiac, I live close by in NH and just came home yesterday with my first Toyota as well, a 2004 4Runner with V8 and 148K on clock. I BOO very loudly when Maine Black Bears come to visit the Whitt and play my beloved UNH Wildcats!

Congrats! I love the silver with the cladding. I almost bought the exact scheme, but went with the black and clad at the last minute. You are going to love it.

The truck is great I have a coupple of small issues but i hope they wil be easy fixes.

Where do you get a bull bar like that, it is fantastic.

As far as the wildcats go, Go Maine WOOT!

Nice buy! Make sure you take care of the maintenance items soon if they weren't done already. T-Belt, plugs, and all the fluids. It will last a long time.

I have always liked the look of that, but it is too expensive for not being very durable. If you want a nice, durable bull bar, i would go with a Steelcraft.

Yes I had the timing belt done when I bought it, I wish I had asked for the 100k mile service. Still need to do the plugs, Trans, Diffs and maybe seafom. I want to check and see if it has XRES? and if so check it out and service it if I can.

I still need to read up on this I am a bit of a newb.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depends on how you look at it) the X-REAS system is a closed system. It can't be serviced, rather replaced when it starts to leak. Most of the people replace the X-REAS with aftermarket parts.

+1...yeah, if you do have the Xreas you will just need to look over the system to make sure there aren't any leaks. If you have it and IF the system ever starts to leak it would be a good time to just pull it out and replace with some Bilsteins or some other shock. Replacing the Xreas system is very expensive to replace. There is a diagram of the system in a thread somewhere in here.

Not completely. The Xreas is a really nice system, but if it ever fails going to some Bilstein shocks would be a nice upgrade, just cheaper. Plus you would be free to do any suspension mods without worry of damaging the Xreas. Not a completely bad thing.

First thing will be to determine if you have the system. I just remembered that J.A. has the diagram on his site.
