Hello all.

Been a fan of the 4runners for a while, and Im finally in the market for one. Im currently driving a lifted f150, but Im going to look at an 03 sport tomorrow.

Hopefully I can find some useful info on here.

Is there anything in particular about the 03's that I should be looking for?

The one im going to look at tomorrow is a 2wd. To be honest, I really dont have a need for a 4wd. As long as its a V8, I dont really care on the drivetrain.

I have an f150 with a 5.5" lift, and 4.11 gears, so this is gonna be a huge change either way. Just ready for something with more seats and better gas mileage.

Not really sure. The odometer broke almost 2 years ago. I just know that I fill up way to much for the amount of driving I do.

I now have two that I'm going to look at tonight. Both 2003s. One is a sport with 85k miles and cloth seats, the other is a limited with leather and 97k miles.

update!

First 2003 was crap. Was extremely dirty, engine bay was nasty and it had a major coolant leak.

Second one had apparently been sold right before we got to the dealer ship,but they magically had a 2011 that just got traded in(ya right).

Anyways, found a great 2007 V8 with 67k miles for $16,999. Had a few cosmetic problems, but nothing major. They wouldnt budge on the price, so I walked out.

Final update.

Went back to the dealership and looked at an 06 they had shipped over for me. It was white, with tan leather interior, 17 wheels, sun roof, v6, 2wd with only 73k miles.

Ended up walking out for $15,000 and kept my current truck.
