'06 V6- 4WD 58,095 miles- price is $20,900-Alabama

this is for my son who really wants 4WD- been having a hard time finding one-will def have it checked out at dealership if I can get a decent price-I've been getting lots of calls from used car salesmen this week- ones thatI've showed interest in but told them we wanted 4WD-theirs were all 2WD

That's a typical inflated dealer price... you should be able to get it for at least 2k less than that if you press them. Unless it's in IMMACULATE condition and hasn't been on their lot long. Good luck!

Thx-I think they just got it b/c I check autotrader often and it was new today

If you don't mind throwing money away, pay it.

I bought a new, leftover '08 Sport 2 years ago for $28k ($36k sticker). I can't see only $8k difference for a 2 year older car, 2 years later.

Rick- where did you find a leftover '08? I am buying for a teenager so i don't want to buy a NEW one

I'm waiting for the new bumper to get painted for my teenager's Subaru. Doing it all myself is saving a bunch. His previous car was rear-ended twice, the second time insurance covered a big repair bill. Then the supercharged engine siezed, I guess full-throttle from every stop wasn't great for it. He was trying to sell this car to get something more flashy, hopefully he's done with that, will focus on college. He's a good kid, no tickets, good grades and has been in no trouble, but a new driver and still learning good judgement in life.

Yesterday a teenager in front of me started swerving on the packed snow/ice, overcorrected several times, nosed it down into the ditch. Looked like he was on his cell. He jumped out with a tow strap and asked me to pull him out, I pulled out my snatch strap and yanked him. He took off spinning and revving, I caught up to him at an intersection where he took off spinning and revving. Looked like a nice kid, just full of teenage.

Get him something he can fix on his own dime.

For what it's worth I just bought my Runner back at the end of October.

I think I paid 17k? It's an '03 Limited V6 4WD with 80k miles. Rear Audio Pkg, Double Decker Cargo...uhh I think that's it? They also refinished the rotors for me.

I got it for $19,375 before taxes etc. It looks brand new- Its at toyota dealership getting checked out today- it'll be due for the big 60,000 service soon though
