Hub centric Rims

Are we sure factory is hub centric? I thought I had read they are lug centric and my thinking was that could be part of what is challenging the tire shops to get a proper balance.

Searching for wheel and tire threads should yield you several hundred options...

fnwheels is a good starting place, along with Stealth Custom Series.

I recently put FN Wheels' Six Shooter wheels on. Was told they are hub centric. Extremely happy with the wheels and customer service received from Dustin.

SCS and FN wheels are the only aftermarket wheels I would buy if I did not but the grey TRD Pro wheels. I will only run hub centric wheels after all the bs I went through with my Tacoma and running lug centric wheels, always had a vibe.

Stay hub centric like factory and save yourself possible vibe issues.

Sorry to bump an old thread! I'm looking at a wheel that is 106.1mm bore - is that considered hub centric? Just want to make sure as I want hub centric wheels rather than lug centric. Thanks!

Over the past 25 years, I've probably owned 15 sets of non-hub centric wheels that used centering rings to make the setup hub centric. I've never had an issue with either plastic or metal rings, vibrations, etc.

My 2015 Outback has high-end Method Rally MR502 wheels and AT tires. The wheels use centering rings. We've had those wheels for 3 years, 20K miles, and lots of off roading too. No issues what so ever.
