hub question on v8

2003 v8 4runner, hub question. I was "snow wheelen" the other day and got a point where I needed to push the buttton and lock the hubs to turn off the vechile stability system. MY question is, this, some one said to be careful with the push button hubs as they will disengage at _______ wheel speed. I can not find this the manual, and dont know if this is true.
I got out of where I was and turned them off. ( I would go to manual lockers if I had more reason) but Im curious about this speed cut off and I know there are people who know whats up!

*please note post below this question is actually about the dif lock and if it automaticly unlocks when wheel speed reaches _______mph. or if it is strictly tied to the magic buttons on off capabilities.

I could be wrong but arent all v8 4runners full time 4wd? Most automatic selectable systems that i know of are recommended below certain speeds but i do not know of any that actually disengage themselves. Usually having an unlocked center diff allows for enough transfer of torque to minimize stress on the drivetrain.

yes the v8 is all time 4wd, however it still has a dif lock...yes that was my question the dif, was told it unlocks automatically at higher speeds, not the hubs. Sorry I was multi tasking when I wrote my initial question.
