whats up with the HUGE signatures ? does anyone else thinks its crazy, I mean some of the sigs have such huge photos, cant t4ell whats the sig vs the post ? lol
Even seen some that looks like a book :biggrin2: whats up with that ?

That ricepho guy has one that takes up the whole page, and that's without even using a picture.

I use mine mainly for others to quickly find links to modifications, since the search feature on here does not work and I am always being asked about the stuff I do.

I think your sig, is cool, and VERY useful, like you said, others can check out your set-up :bigok:

Glad to see this posted here. I came to this forum specifically to make a thread about huge signatures and someone beat me to it.

Isn't there a way that you can set some limits within the forum software? I know on other forums I have been a part of you couldn't even upload an image that was bigger than a specific size.

For me this is especially an issue since I'm accessing the forum on my blackberry half the time.

FYI, just in case you didn't know, there is an option in your user settings about displaying signatures. I turned turned them off a long time ago. The big pictures showing a plain old 4Runner sitting in someones driveway is of no interest to me and I really don't care if they have clear corners or fluffy dice hanging from the mirror or a thousand other things that you can buy everywhere. But that's just me... It's what people contribute here that means more to me.

Try turning the sigs off, you'll be pleased with the faster thread loading and you won't miss the pointless garbage either after a while.

i agree, gator greg has complained about this before, i say its time the rules are enforced, i am tired of seeing stock 4runners with clear corners or 25 lines of cheap crap people do... no one cares, not even on this page. all you need MAYBE is the kind of vehicle you drive, MAYBE a couple mods if they dont take up the whole page, and thats it... i swear one day im just going to stop coming to this site, half the people here dont even know where the 4wd switch is. ok, sorry its late, ive been drinking and im tired of seeing these redic long sigs...

What is almost as irritating as giant useless signatures is somebody posting pictures of the truck and then 12 posts asking what his suspension set-up is, or what kind of tires those are... I, like ric and many others on this thread, really like a nicely organized signature with modifications and even links but some just go overboard.

I'm not disagreeing with what you do, and I'm glad it worked for you. But its not a solution to the real problem, at least not for everyone.

I think sigs should be short and to the point and keep the truck pics as an avatar with no/or small pics in your sig.

I see alot of irrelevant and the obvious stated in sigs which needs to be toned down and I'll throw some discussion around with the other mods since even I do see some sigs are way to big and makes it hard to go through threads.

Sigs with people listing every vehicle they own/owned needs to go especially people listing their families vehicles is just rediculous.

Thanks for lookin into it Ron. FWIW, I do not mind signatures such as SnowRunner's signature, which has pictures but they are small and not a distraction. But I know as a moderator you sometimes have to eliminate grey area.
