Humming from sub when lights are on

Is there a reason why I hear a humming noise from my sub when I turn my headlights on? ITs really annoying.

When I turn my lights off, the hummind ceases.

Any clues?

bad ground ? did you sand it down ? and where did you mount it to ?

I grounded the amp the right behind the 2nd row left side seat. I believe it is attached to the chasis, and yes I grinded/sanded it down to the metal so there was not paint.

it could be that u are using some cheap quality rca ? , swap them out and run it away from the power lines, use http://www.knukonceptz.com/index.cfm
they make pretty good stuff, i used there wires in my system, no noise.

Yes, I ran both the power wire and the RCA's down the driver side. I should have known better. This is more than likely the cause.

you could also try an rca noice reducer. its a simple plug in input and output.

I see the noise reducers as a temp solution or more like a bandaid, no thanks.
