Yeah, the auger was never gonna work for me. The De-Sta-Co has worked out great for me. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to retrofit one in. They have different models, orientations, etc.

It's an SW20 MR2. I'm not sure which lines got you to a 964, but it's got me curious, haha...

My rear diff got really beat up on the trip to Rausch and while the last thing I wanted was to throw any more money or weight at the truck, I really needed some sort of protection.
BudBuilt to the rescue with their awesome Diff Skid - BudBuilt - Tough Toyota Protection. Since powdercoat pretty much costs the same regardless of color (within reason), I went ahead and found the code for my Lil' Skips Gas Tank Skid and asked Bud to match it. Looks pretty damn close if you ask me.

HA, I honestly thought the black area was the rear decklid vent and the spoiler was an aftermarket one for it. I'm not worthy, I'll banish myself to the corner and continue to just watch. lol

Jeremy, I don't have any great mounted pics. But essentially, it mounts to the back of the axle using the same threaded holes that affixes the (parking brake?) cable that runs the width of the rear axle. The bar at the front clamps onto the rear diff just rearward of the companion flange.

How the hell did I miss this build thread?? This thing is amazing! Definitely jelly of your other rides as well! I came from the import world as well (unfortunately not a Supra or SC300!). Did your SC300 have a 2jz? Beautiful runner too!...I'm amazed on how clean you keep it (especially being black) and the fact you even offroad something and keep it in such a great condition.

Light works great. The one from CBI had mud in it. So this one should do well.

First of all I think your "Custom CBI" Bumper is the Ballz. Just wanted to give you a heads up on a potential problem, (rear body mount give). I have a 2000 Sport with the standard CBI rear bumper and swingout and I have (had) my CB cable running in the same spot as yours. If or more likley when you come off a large rock or ledge with the bumper making hard contact, the rear body mounts have enough give to them that allowed the body and bumper to meet severing the CB cable. I see that you have a 1" body lift that might eliminate this problem but i just wanted you to know.

Just wanted to stop in and say that your build has been very inspirational to me, and I'm sure to others on here as well. Tastefully done and well-documented! I had a question regarding your suspension and wheel/tire set up. I literally just ordered the exact suspension kit as you, even down to the 1" body lift. I also have a set of SCS F5 wheels coming which are the same specs as your Weds. Just curious as to whether run into any rubbing issues offroad, particularly when flexed in the rear. Also I have a factory rear bumper (limited) with stock mudflaps, if that helps. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!

C'mon man, all SC300s had a "2jz." Yeah I pretty much stopped worrying over pinstriping and trying to buff that out considering how much I take it offroad. I do try to keep carnage to a minimum though.

It's the front that rubbed the OEM running boards and mudflaps. Maybe I'll catch you around, Williamsburg isn't that far.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick. That's good news, and I don't have front mudflaps so hopefully I'll be ok. Yeah man, that would be cool to see you around. Whereabouts in Virginia are you? Still around the Blacksburg area (guessing from your license plate surround) I have always wanted to go wheeling at Potts mountain, but I wasn't sure if its still an option. I have gone to shoe creek and peters mill run in GWNF. If you guys are planning any wheeling trips and wouldn't mind some company, I would love to join.
