Man, don't do it! Leave the boards and unless you actually offroad, pass on the sliders and steel bumper. That stuff is so damn heavy, it's not worth it just for looks.

BTW, your truck is perfect. I love the Weds/tire combo, the lift and extreme detail of it all. For my uses...I would make my truck exactly like yours. It looks amazing, and doesn't have anything on it that I'd never actually use. :thumb3:

I appreciate the words... I'll be doing more off-roading and camping later in the year. It's too damn hot and humid right now, so we'll prolly go late summer/early fall.

I am super happy with the Weds. I wanted something that not everyone has, and that's not a knock to the guys running Pro-Comps or Wheeler's steelies - those look pretty tough and are hard to beat in terms of price/performance, but I try not to be Mr. Me Too...

Yup yup - SSRs for life!!! At one point, I had 19-inch SP1s on both the Supra and SC and SSR GT2s on the MR2. Now both the cars are on GT2s. I checked with SSR, and they currently don't make 6x139.7 PCD wheels, otherwise they'd be on the truck!!! :hiding:

Yes, with my particular setup, I had to trim a good amount from the front endcap of the running boards and the front bumper flare add-on. Luckily it's just plastic and snips/Dremel makes quick work of it. I'm also rubbing the trailing edge of the plastic wheelwell liner, but it doesn't seem to be doing much harm. I haven't stuffed the tires yet either though, so I have no idea how much interference there is in the upper range of wheel travel.

Yeah, I got the late pass on those JAOS Victrons and I believe I PM'd the previous owner of them to ask how much he sold them for and you're right, it was great deal. Very nice wheels and exclusive to boot!!!

Yeah, I trimmed the flares attached to the front bumper because the tires were rubbing there.

No, I don't have any wheel spacers, just negative offset built into the wheel.

No real updates as I recently shifted some attention to the Supra...

I am very happy with the Toytec Ultimate Lift with the 5150s out back. I drink the Bilstein Kool-Aid as they have been nothing but amazing on all of the applications I have used them on (MR2 - HDs, SC300 - HDs, 4Runner - 5100 Series).

So, I went on my first ever four-wheeling trip this past weekend with some friends to Potts Mountain, Virginia. We had to run half of the trail through some pretty tough stuff for a n00b like myself before we could even get to the clearing where the primitive campsite was. We got there just in time as daylight was burning out pretty quick. What a perfect weekend for this region - temps were in the mid-to-high 70s, clear, and just plain beautiful.

Since it was my camera, there aren't as many pics of my truck going through some of the stuff, but you kind of get an idea based on the pics of the other trucks. The GALLERY has 102 pictures and I won't bore you with all of them, but below are some of my favorites:

Kelty Noah's Tarp 12 coming off of the roof rack. I need to refine this guy. Luckily the weather was beautiful and we didn't need it for shelter, etc.

Yes, that's a bone-stock Bronco and it made it through the entire trail except for that slippery part at the top of the pic above where it had to get winched out. Seriously impressive driving.

it was a really fun time and we couldn't have asked for better weather this time of year here in the Mid-Atlantic area... I'm pretty sure we're going to do a very similar trip in the spring before things get too hot 'n humid.

Thanks - she ain't too shabby for being ten years old. Of course it sustained some scratches from limbs, etc. on the trail. Most of them will buff out, but it's gonna take some work.

If anyone has any good ideas about protecting the paint from superficial scratches while on trail, I'm all ears!!!


My buddy took some video too, but I'm not sure if he's going to post the entire 1-hour+ compilation or clips of our individual rigs going through stuff.
