I meant 7, wrote 12 the first time, that's why I edited it. Referring to the 5 toes exposed in the sandal. It would have been 12 if you could see both feet.

What ladder stands are you guys running? I think I want something big enough for the two of us. Me and my girlfriend. Not a big fan of climbing or the hanging stands. I'm weird about being 20 ft in the air. Suggestions?

Honestly, whatever is cheapest. The most expensive ones don't seem to last or work any better.

The rut is almost upon us, here's to hoping I can get a deer this weekend. Hope your hunts are going better than mine.

Well we were only able to hunt for 3 days this hunting season of our allowed 7 days. It was doe city out there. Only saw 3 bucks, one bolted before we could do anything. Spotted one at about 800 yards, put the stalk on him and at about 300 yards the wind turned around and he caught wind of us. Last one was across a huge rugged canyon and didn't feel we could retrieve him even though it was only a 300 yard shot so we had to pass him up. Had a great time with the wife and son. Good luck to my fellow t4r hunters.

What a lot of people forget is there are some really big deer in that part of the country. The mule deer are massive and some of the elk even up into Utah are monsters also. Happy hunting for dinners and hope you enjoy the time outdoors.

New to me, Bowtech Boss. Was originally looking at a Carbon Icon, but they mis-measured my draw length and it turns out that I needed something bigger. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing here! I've wanted to hunt for a long time, but have never had anyone to teach me until now. So I bought a bow, and plan to spend the next 10 months shooting it until my arm falls off.
Also preparing to buy the sight, as well as a quiver if I can find the matching color scheme. I'm thinking a single pin Black Gold Ascent.

A word of advise man. Find a local Pro Shop and get all your stuff there. The guys will tune your bow to YOU so it preforms as it should. I started on a Bow not long ago and doing this made the world of difference. In no time at all I was out shooting the guys on there competition team. Granted I have been shooting guns for a very long time so the transition was easy for me once I got the basic principles down. Its all in the trigger control and the release. Have fun man it is a all new high when you take a deer or turkey with one because its not easy

YES , there are some trophy monsters down here. Maybe one day I will get one that big.

Yup, my ar is still sighted in at 100 yards.... I bow hunt deer, but couldn't resist shooting this coyote from my back deck. He was a young pup... but had some teeth.
