Hurricane Frances and my 4Runner - w/ video

After a long weekend of hurricane parties, trees and power down throughout the state, we Floridians are prepping for yet another.... One of the main streets outside of campus was flooded. flooded

There were jeeps pulling jeeps out of the mall parking lot where they had gone in too deep, there was a palm tree blocking access to my apartment complex, but this is still nothing compared to what many people got.

However not everything about the hurricane was bad; it did provide some awesome mudding. Most of the video is pretty good mudding footage however there is some random stuff from a couple of our hurricane parties (a buddy of mine editited it for me).

srt-4 + donuts = cool

srt-4 + mud = not as good as the 4runner looks in mud

i especially love the part where the camera guy in your car goes "on shit....a little wet here" when the water starts rising.

That was great! I was little worried in the begining when "wild boys" from Duran Duran was playing.

I loved seeing that 2nd gen 4Runner hitting that water like it was a puddle.

The guy in the Neon was nuts or under the influence of a controlled substance.

Hmmmm, i'll have to talk to my buddy, see if he can take some stills from the video of the trays. You can imagine how torn up they were, just melted right through.

My 4Runner consistently amazes me with how well it does off-road whether it may be sand trails, mud, or whatever else.... Now if only it got a little better mpg.
