Hey all,

Spoke to Husky this week and they have released the rear cargo liner for the DDCS on the 03 Runner. I went through

Premier Motoring has a 10% discount and free shipping deal going. Because of the DDCS liner being so new I had to phone it in. Their web page didn't have the new part number. They said I should have my order in 7 days. This will sure help keep my kids muddy feet off of the carpets.

I will update on the fit when they come in.

Husky was supposed to call when it was released!!

I got tired of waiting and ordered the WeatherTech liner, also for DDCS. It should be here on Monday. Will also update on fit, just so we can compare.

Appearently, it is a perfect fit with the shelf up, a bit short with the self down. The lip means that the liner needs to be lifted out and repositioned if you put the shelf down. Would suspect that the Husky is exactly the same way.
 
The WeatherTech liner came in today and fits perfectly. :)

Looks like the finish is more non-skid than the Husky Liners I had in my pickup, so that's a big plus.

Only drawback I have seen is that they didn't try to follow the corners with a cutout for the tie-downs. Instead, they went straight back from the wheel wells so the tie-downs are fully exposed. I'll bet that will be more useful, anyway, so it should not be a big deal.

By the way, WeatherTech has a cargo liner that covers the carpeted are on top of the DDCS. However, instead of buying it, I opted for a piece of a carpet runner we picked up at Home Depot for $8. We have it under the cargo net and it hold just fine and grocery bags don't slide on it.

For the times when we need to fold down the rear seats, we just tossed a couple of contractor-grade plastic bags in the space between the back seat and the vertical support for the shelf. They fit nicely and are out of the way until you need them. When you need them, just unfold them to cover the carpet on the back of the seat when it lays flat.

Let us know how the Husky fits.
 
Jharris, how does that thing fit if you lay the shelf down? I need to haul a dog around, so the shelf has to be down, and I definitely need to put a liner back there. If it's not going to work well, I will probably just remove the shelf (if that's possible).
 
I haven't received my Husky Liner yet but what I can gather from talking to the engineer that designed it is when the liner is in place you will not be able to use the DDCS. It sits on top of the shelf and follows the contour down 1 and 3/8 inches to the lower level and then fills the complete back from side to side. There will be no exposed floor with the liner in place. This works perfectly for my needs and will keep both of my yellow Lab's muddy feet off of the carpet. I will post a picture when I receive my set.

If you put the shelf down, you need to move the liner to sit on top of the shelf in the down position. It follows the curves of the shelf. The liner is not heavy, so lifting it out won't be a problem. Since I have a tool box and some other stuff under the shelf, moving those items will be a bigger pain than the liner.

If you're going to leave the shelf down to carry your dog, either the Husky liner or the WeatherTech for non-DDCS should work.

But, after reading Roy's post, looks like there is no good answer if you're constantly raising and lowering the shelf. We will leave it up most of the time, so the WeatherTech answer is fine with us.

Roy - So you ordered from the site above the number 2575? It is ok to go on top of the shelf when it is down. I am hesitant to order when it says:

FITS MODELS WITHOUT FACTORY DOUBLE DECKER CARGO SYSTEM
(WILL NOT FIT GX470 MODELS OR 2003 LIMITED)

You're correct the 2575x works without the DDCS.

You will need to order the 2576x for the DDCS.

I had to call them on the phone to place my order because their web page wasn't updated yet. I ordered the complete set.
My Husky order was for:
Front 3575x
Rear Seat 6575x
Rear Cargo Mat 2576x.
The "x" is for the color: 1 Black, 2 Grey, 3 Tan.
I went with 2 for my grey interior. I have seen them at a couple of sites for less but they charged shipping which threw it over. My total with shipping was $198.

I received the set of liners today. They look great and are a dark grey like the interior. The rear seat is a one piece unit and covers the hump. The only problem is Husky sent me the wrong liner for the cargo area. The invoice has the right part number on it but the box has the Non-DDCS liner in it. So I will have to call them tomorrow to get the right one shipped. I will update when the correct cargo liner arrives.

Got the husky liner and installed it this past Sunday. I just bought the cargo area liner. It is great. Appreciate the information you shared. I ordered from the same web site as you. They now have the site updated to include the model for the DDCS.

Personally, I didn't like the way the WeatherTech or the Husky mats fit -- there were too many exposed areas along the sides because they are not a custom fit. They looked to be great in terms of quality of materials. I found the same kind of fit in the other brands of mats I looked at, too.

I also don't like the Husky custom-fit liners, because I found the ones in my F150 to be slippery. (Husky can't explain why they were slippery, since I never used any product like Armor-All on them. They just said that mine was an unusual case and got me off the phone.) They do, however, fit very well.

So I just went with the Toyota mats...they don't cover as well as the custom-fit liners, but they are much better than the Husky and WeatherTech mats. They look nice and they should suit our needs well.

I don't have a picture (no camera), but there are frequently mats for sale on eBay that have pictures to give you an idea what they look like. The web sites for the parts distributors sometmes have closeups, too, that will let you see the ridges, etc. Other than that, I've not seen a photo woth how they actually look in the 4Runner.

I paid $73.50, plus shipping, from Jay Marks Toyota (www.toyotaworld.com). List is $98.00. From what I've seen, that price is in line with most internet retailers.

Can't really break out the shipping for just the mats, because I also ordered the sunroof wind deflector, which really raised the shipping costs because of size, and wheel locks. Shipping was $15.00 for everything in the order, no taxes if you don't live in Texas.
 
I bought some from a guy on ebay for about $48. I then saw he was doing buy it now auctions at $45. Not sure if he is selling more but I will post his ebay username here so you can do an advanced search to find his auctions. The mats we authentic toyota, still sealed.
