I saw a 40k mile one just this week for $25k. It was nice too but might have to wait a while to get that price.
 
That's a nice one, but may be over-priced for the miles. Would have to see more interior pics too.

I got mine in Dec (3 months ago) - 2008 SR5 with 65k and I paid $22k (out of state). I still feel like I paid a pretty penny for it, but it was in nearly perfect condition. The clock/temp screen still had the factory plastic on it!

"Toyota Tax" in Denver is very real. $18K for a clean 4Runner sounds about right for the Front Range. Someone could make a good living bringing in 4x4 Toyotas to Denver!

I'd venture to say the Bay and Denver/CO are about the same in regards to Toyota Tax. Maybe slightly higher in CO since I'd think we have more snow days than the Bay and likely more scenery/mountains/hiking/etc within decent driving distance.
 
Jesus these trucks don't lose value! I bought mine for $23K with 40K miles back in 2009.

I'm now over 200K and still running new.
 
It's kinda ridiculous how much our trucks are worth....i mean there has to be a point where people will stop purchasing them used right? Especially with 5th gens. I see 2014 5th gen's with 30-40k on them, selling for 1500-2000 less than a new one...

That being said, I got mine about 6 years ago, 2004 v8 4x4 sr5 with 79k miles on it. Only problem was it had a cracked dash. Paid 13,500 for it.

I try to only buy my vehicles with cash outright. Which means 5th gen is out of the question for me for now. I simply can't understand how you can pay $40k+ for a vehicle.

I like my 5th gen but I actually like my 4th gen a little more. For starters, the throttle and trans tuning is way better and natural feeling on the 4th gen. My 4th gen also gets a little better mpg than the 5th gen, always has. The 4th gen is also way easier to do general maintenance on like oil changes and spark plugs.

I think it’s very smart to buy vehicles out right with cash. I was able to do that a couple times years ago.

I lucked out and purchased my 4th gen with 5k on it for $25k back in 2008. It’s when gas prices first shot up and everyone seemed to be trading in their suv for an econo car. It took me a whole afternoon and into the night, on a Sunday, but we drove away with an amazing deal on this 4th gen and got nearly what I wanted on trade for a pontiac G6 GTP (POS car). This 4th gen has been a great vehicle and has taken us all over the US. Just turned 176k on the ole mule last week.

I paid $26k for my 2011 SR5 with 105k miles. With the reliability of these cars, I still consider that damn near new, especially when the interior is still in perfect condition.
 
Well kept 4runners with low miles price high.

I will be selling my 2009 4runner Trail Edition soon. Thinking selling it for $25-26k with 80k miles.
 
Word to the wise - don't by used 4x4's in Colorado, they are overpriced, period. Look over in Kansas/Texas area for one and I bet you can save $

That's not a good deal. I bought mine with 45k miles for $26k back in 2011.
