I am now a 4Runner owner!!!

Traded my 07 2WD Honda Pilot EX-L in and picked up a 07 4WD 4Runner SR5 with the mighty V8. Got sick of getting stuck in the mud and snow when I go up to the mountains.

I think I did pretty good on the buy. I picked up a 07 4WD V8 SR5 with dual power seats (cloth), leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter, slide out/up cargo thingy, and 110 volt in the center console. I guess it was some kind of MVP package when it was bought. It's a CPO with 51K miles.

Asking price: $26,000
Paid price: $22,500

Did I do ok? I think the V8 was the way to go even though I don't tow a lot "now." It's got the brawn I want in a 4WD.

Pick her up on Monday night - hooray.

You did great. Numbers aren't important. What's important is that you are happy. You bought a very capable SUV that will serve all your needs for many years to come.

There will always be someone who pays too much and someone that, somehow, seems to have gotten the ultimate deal. But price aside (good or bad we will see in how she treats me), I think it was a good switch for me and my attitude on life.

I did'nt pay a fortune but still got a great vehicle. And now, I can go fishing, hunting, skiing, adventuring, much more than I could. I am quite happy with my decision.

Now if you see me posting a lot of threads about fixin' stuff I may be a tad less happy. :gun5:

However, this rig seems very tight and seems to have been the vehicle of a workin' woman (heel hole in the driver floor mat - no not the carpet though, phew). So maybe it wasn't thrashed on too much but who knows. I know my wife would beat it to death in the trails if given a chance.

you really did make a excellent decision...i bought my 2004 4runner SR5 from totaling my honda accord and I LOVE IT...i had a 1997 pathfinder and i thought that truck was great...not sure where you live..i live in southeastern pa and this past winter was our worse and we got nailed with snow...did not get stuck once..drove through the snow like a champ....i also did a little off roading on atleast 2 or a little more feet of snow..4H and 4L worked AMAZINGLY...you going to love that truck...its the best one i ever drove...i will say the truck moves..i only have a v6..and it can get up and go
