I am starting to dislike my 4Runner...

Yea i feel you on the power, i hate my truck on hills. Even after doing the throttle cable adjustments and a tuneup she still downshifts twice to make it up a hill i have to travel everyday.
The other thing that sucks is that even if i do punch it the engine sounds like its so damn loud that its going to come right off the engine mounts. Its just not built for speed, but its a damn reliable truck that is very versatile.
Sometimes i miss my old 2 door tahoe with the 5.7. That thing moved when i hit the gas and the engine was smooth as butter.

I hear ya on the sentimental value part. I would have sold the 4Runner when I got my Tacoma, but I could never find it in myself to part with it. Hell, if I HAD to give up one of them I would keep the 4Runner and get rid of the Taco, no matter how stupid of a financial decision it would be.

kinda know what you mean, i had a nissan frontier, 3.0 turbocharged, intercooled, diesel 5sdp, i'd rip tires effortlessly, leave guys at the stop light like if they were in reverse, really miss that rush of power and acceleration.
but now with the 4runner, i let guys pass me by knowing i can go where they can't go,
winter is near by, can't wait to see the fwd's spin out while I Cruise on by

Sounds like that was a sweet set up.
I'm just glad that the supercharger has brought me up to par with most average 4 cylinder N/A vehicles on the road today. I did a few cheesy drag race tests with friends (honestly not even fast enough to consider them racing, 0-60 pretty much).
The fact that I'm only running 4 PSI has astounded me. I wasn't able to keep up with my friends before. I have not lost once since installation.
Keep in mind that most of my friends don't drive the fastest cars... such vehicles I've lost to include:
1. 1998 Ford Escort SE, 2.0 4 cylinder, automatic, 140k miles. (Landslide victory, off the line GONE)
2. 2001 Honda Civic Coupe LX 1.7 4 cylinder (Non-VTEC), automatic, 160k miles. (Almost had a chance...)
3. 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited 2.4 N/A 4 cylinder, automatic, 70k miles. (Landslide victory.)
4. 2000 Toyota Corolla CE 1.8 VVT-i 4 cylinder, automatic, 160k, bad self adjusting cam gear, burns oil like a mofo. (Almost, but no dice)
I was only able to beat one vehicle with my 4Runner prior to supercharger installation:
1. 1998 Isuzu Trooper 3.5 V6, auto, 100k. Only reason it lost, stock gearing and 33" BFG A/Ts. Put it back on stock 245/70/16's and it would have killed me when I was N/A. Nevertheless, it only lost by barely a car length or two, both traveling uphill.
I've happily beaten the PT Loser (I gradually took the lead starting at the line until about 60mph where I was about 10 car lengths in front), Civic (Landslide), and Corolla (Landslide) since install. The escort's timing belt skipped a notch. Piston smacked valve, interference motor. Sold for $500 instead of a $1,500 head overhaul.
Ultimately, 8 PSI and I should be intimidating V6's. My hope is to keep up with my mom's 4th gen 4.0 V6, any better will just be a bonus. My main fault is my automatic trans, granny shifting it's way through forced induction land.

next time I'm near OC you can drag against my 2001 4 CYL Camry, auto. It is quite peppy compared to my V6 4Runner.
COB, I am pretty sure your truck is faster than the V6 runners out there.
