Really though... Speed in adverse conditions is certainly no measure of a winter tire's capability :rockthrow:

That said, I do thoroughly enjoy the DM-Z3's on the 4Runner as well as the studded cooper weathermasters on my Honda :jump:


state of WA on studded vs studdless tires, note page 52/80. It's interestign because I've always thought that studded tires provided increased traction over studdless applications. Clearly, I was wrong.

Speeding in the snow? Oh,you're that guy that's in the ditch when everybody else catches up to you.

Seriously,be careful since no tire has sure-fire predictable grip in the ever changing conditions of weather and speed is the leading factor in accidents in the wintertime around here. Good tires can lead to overconfidence.

That said my Duratracs have been very solid even in 2wd over this winter and in 20+ (most up in the mountains) years of driving in Colorado I've never had a set of snows since the snow doesn't stick around on our roads long enough to warrant them for me and driving on dry pavement with snow tires means they just wear out faster.
Even my AWD Eclipse shod with very good all seasons only had issues when plowing through 10" or more snow otherwise never got stuck.

Might as well cross out Good driving skills, from what i have interpreted...you dont have any, The tires and your "Driver Aids" are what allow you to be cocky in the snow, i could tell by the title that you are way too overconfident.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the title speaks for itself, And as Will 4R said, Unstoppable.

Geesh... Slow down and drive safely. Maybe you are confident driving in adverse conditions, but other drivers around you may not be. This mix on the road can lead to very dangerous and ugly results. Be careful out there.
