I cannot get that darned overhead console off!

On my "15 TE, I am installing a auto dimming mirror and cannot get the overhead console off.
I remove the traction control assembly, removed the 2 screws, and then try to remove the console to no avail. I am putting way to much force on it trying to free it and am worried I am about to break it.
I don't see any other screws to remove but may be missing something.
Any suggestions??

After removing the two screws, pull it back. Slide the console back away from the windshield, then pull it down.

How are you installing the auto dim mirror? Just tapping into ignition power source?

Yes. Did it on my 4th gen using power in the overhead. A lot easier than running below dash.

After removing the two screws, pull it back. Slide the console back away from the windshield, then pull it down.

Pull it down (pivot back) from the front of the console or pull down parallel with the head liner?

It's been a couple of weeks since i did it, but if memory serves:
It will pivot at the rear, so after getting the two screws out, get a grip under the front lip closest to the windshield, I just used my fingernails.
Pull straight back away from the windshield a bit, and pull down. Once the front is down, push it a little forward to release the rear.
