I.D. a Squeak

Hi,
Here's the problem with my 97 4runner.

Low speed squeak that goes with wheel speed.

It only happens in drive.

Rolling at 5 mph and shifting in and out between drive and neutral is like throwing a switch on the squeak.

If I hold my foot on the brake and give more gas the sound stays the same (directly proportional to wheel speed.)

I put it in four wheel low and don't hear a decernable difference.

Was planning to take this thing on vacation in the morning. Need help fast, Please!

check your U-joints. if you haven't greased them in a while that may be it.

I put it up on stands and with a load (hand brake slightly on) and in drive the sound is definitely coming from the rear u-joint. Pumped it full of grease no help. I think it'll get me through a short trip so I'll replace it when I get back.
