I Found 265/70/17 LT....LT!!! REVOS!!!

I was not aware that bridgestone dueler at revos came in LT with 265/70/17LT

LT!!!!

Available this fall. I called www.roadwaywholesaletire.com today and asked them about availability. All the sales rep could tell me was this fall.

The price right now is 157 per tire, but he said more than likely they will increse in price this fall. He said they saw an overall increase in tire prices by 5% because of the gas hike.

Anyways, I am on a list to be the first order when these tires become available.... I will keep the Toyota brethren posted of course!!

I would love to know what you think of the ride they provide compared to the OEM tires after you have them on for awhile.

Of course I will post a review of my impressions!!

This maybe the all around perfect tire for my runner, stiffer sidewall than stock with all the benefits of the REVO tread design.

I was so excited when I saw the LT listed!
I felt like it was christmas. Hopefully the price stays where its at , as of now they are cheaper than any price I have found on BFG's. I will keep my fingers crossed and continue to abuse the dunlops!!!ahhahahaa

Sweet! Just in time for winter. The lack of an LT rating was the only reason I didn't consider them myself (even though I have yet to hear of a sidewall failure in the P rated tires).
 
Good find, let us know when they are out. I would love to upgrade mine to LTs. It is one of the pains with the Revos, they do not make LTs for 17" wheels :(

But maybe they have now changed or hopefully soon.

I plan on bugging roadwaywholesale monthly untill I get a date on the release of the LT's.!
 
Excellent!

BUT their website lists the Revos LT as a 10 ply which would make it an E rated tire.

P=4 ply

C=6 ply

D=8

E=10 ply.....

That's too heavy for the 4Runner. E Rated tires are for 3/4 ton and 1 ton diesels.

I would go C or D at most but not E.

It ought to be a 4 ply for "P" rated.

All the midsize SUVs come with P rated tires. In fact, Tahoes and even 1/2 ton p/ups come with P rated. I have seen some 2/3 tons with P rated tires and that staggers the mind.

My old 96 Tahoe came with P 265/75/16 Bad-Year Wranglers RT/S. I tossed those crap tires out at 45,000 and got LT BFG A/T LT "C"--old style back in 98. What a difference. I got 85,000 out of the BFG. I then tried the LT "C" in Pirelli Scorpions. No complaints. Then my last set I went to LT "D" in Toyo Open Country A/T. Ride is firmer/not harsh, but firmer nad more in control. Less swaying, less body roll. Much more noticeable from the "C" to "D" than from "B" to "C".

Since the 4Runner weights about the same as my Tahoe, I'd go C or even D load but not E. The increase in load rating also increases the forces on the suspension. The E load adds another 8-9 pounds to each tire over the P load 4 ply rating. 8-9 pounds moving at high speed moving up and down adds up to a lot of wear and tear on the shocks nad springs and ride discomfort.

What does LT means? Light ruck? What is the difference between A/T Revos and LT?

I presume that you are saying that the LT rated Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo have a deeper tread than the corresponding P rated tire. I see that in the Bridgestone chart - 16 mm tread depth for the LT265/75-16 vs 13 mm for the P265/75-16. But, a more aggressive tread pattern? I am surprised that there is any difference in tread pattern - how did you determine this?

Does it means, that "P" rated Revos are softer and more comfortable to ride? What are the positive points of getting LT Revos vs. P Revos?

Yes P series have softer side walls and 4 ply construction. LT series have stiffer sidewalls and 6-10 ply construction.

If you off road frequently LT would be worth the money. P series will still perform offroad but not as "hardcore" as a LT tire. for example, you wouldnt rock crawl with P rated tires, you could but it will chew up the sidewalls and you would have a higher possiblity of a sidewall puncture. An experienced off roader could off road with both.... If you never off road or only offroad on occation, get P series.

The only reason I am getting LT's is because when I move next summer, I will be doing a lot more off roading.

Hawaii here I come!!:D
