Hey all. Bought my 'Runner last Thursday, black 97 Limited. 137xxx, pretty clean interior, light frame rust, new brakes and tires, and some front end damage that the previous owner didn't get around to fixing. Thanks to T4R I had a good idea what I was getting into.
Read through the 3rd Gen buyers guide- took care of EFI, MAC/TB, PCV, air filter, oil change. I'm almost a complete noob when it comes to powertrains, etc, but I can handle it with detailed instructions and a video.
My budget is very limited right now, and most of it will get eaten up by buying a new bumper and valence for the front, and painting/Plastidipping the bumpers and wheels. Anything else I should do right away? Anyone know of a good place for parts in the Milwaukee, WI area? Oh, and can anyone explain why at 6'1" I feel like a giant in my Runner?
