I hate Aluminum rims

I had to replace the valve stem caps a while ago with the ugly black plastic kind. The valve stem caps would corrode and be a serious PIA to get off when checking air pressure. I ruined the originals trying to get then off with pliers.
I also found a long time ago that the wheels would get stuck to the rotors because of the corrosion. That was also a PIA to break them free when I wanted to rotate the tires. I tried something different this time by putting some Anti-sieze on the mating surface to see if that will make it easier to rotate the tires next time. I used just a tiny amount.
Anyone else have any problems with this stuff and do you have any better solutions?
I also hate that after the first year I started to see some of the clear coat coming off.
Aluminum rims suck.

I use asmall dab of anti-seize on the threads of the valve stem - the plated metal to metal tends to stick otherwise. I also had to ruin a cap before I did this. I borrowed a metal cap from the spare, replacing it with a plastic.

As for the wheels, try to kick the bottom of the tire inwards when the wheel is off the ground and the lug nuts are completely loose. If you periodically rotate the wheels this will be less of a problem. Your anti-sieze solution should also work fine.

Aluminum rims do look great. Haven't seen any problems with the finish at two years and I live in Michigan.

I tried the anti-seize on the valve stem caps at least a year ago and still had some sticking. Just easier using the plastic kind. No more problems.
I had to beat on the tire to break it loose. It was worst in the front. Kicking the bottom while pulling on the top worked fine on the rear tires.

k-mart has an aluminum valve cap with plastic on the inside, $3 for a set of four.
