I have a few questions

Hey guys ~

I'm new to the board and this is my first post. I've been members on a couple of motorcycle boards and I know how valuable of a resource they can be...

I think that I am planning to buy a 4th gen 4runner in the near future - just kicking tires right now.

My questions are concerning the sport hood scoop and the rear spoiler. Can a rear spoiler be installed on any 4th gen 4 runner?

On the hood scoops, Is there any way to get the scoop on a vehicle that did not come with that option, other than swapping hoods?

To answer both questions: spoiler? Dont do it, ever; personal opinion. Hood scoop? You can always get one from andyautosport, etc. but you'd have to basically weld it on & make it look purty. Best bet is trade hoods.

Welcome! Yes, you can put an aftermarket spoiler on. I did. If you like the look, go for it. I personally don't care for the look of the runners without the spoilers.

Where did you find your's at? That's one of the things I'd like to do with mine down the road, I think 4th gen's look kinda funny without them, but that's just me.

I don't remember where I got it, actually. It was the first thing I did to it back when I got it in 07.

Wow, thats not a bad deal! Hmm, I may need to update my xmas list now, lol. How hard was it to install? I'm afraid I'd have to have mine professionally done.

Next.... Tow Package

I see some 4runners advertised with "tow package". Does this include beefed up suspension, etc. or just a receiver hitch?

Tow pkg usually would come with a tow hitch, & be regeared to handle hauling.

Tow package is just the hitch possable electric brake controler, but, dought it.

As far as the rear spoiler, it does have it's advantages. Helps keep the wet weather splashing up on the rear window, noticed I had less with my 04 I had and now my 08 doesn't have one and have to use the rear wiper a lot. Even with the snow slush on the road.
