It could have been worse. Only damage.
The darn thing flew right in front me because he was eating a dead deer on the shoulder.
He caught the tip of the grill and the feet must have nailed the scoop.
Big ass bird!!!
The scoop bezel is $92 and comes painted.
Would black look cool or should I go with white?
BTW this ride is mint with only 6200 miles on her

My cracked 2 weeks after I picked up my new 07 last fall. I tried changing it, but had supplier issues from a company that I won't bad mouth.

I just left it. My ride is black so it's not that noticeable...but I share your pain.

If you want to stay stock, get white. Black may look cool as custom.

That sucks and I feel your pain. My wife tagged a deer in our 4 month old Urban Runner with about the same mileage on it this past Monday. $6700 worth of damage and that's with them only replacing the hood, front bumper,grill, passengers side headlight, foglight, pass side fender and flare. and some of the brackets and A/C condenser. I was shocked at how much all this is costing(Thank god for insurance) Other than all cosmetic crap the truck kept my wife safe with no major structural damage to the vehicle. I'm a 4 Runner owner for life now as long as they do not do anything stupid to ruin the truck!

Removing the scoop is a PITA.
1:Remove hood insulator. Just cut the Black plastic pins that secure the blanket. (Use new pins because they break off anyway)

2: Remove 5 scoop retaing nuts and one phillips srew.
The one screw is hidden UNDER the hood insulator.
Thats why the hood blanket must be removed.

3: The black scoop grill is riveted to the scoop.
It appears you can only replace it as a set.
Parts #28, #29 is riveted to#23. Farging iceholes
