I just totally caved, and will be swapping my 2/1 with a 3/2 lift from Cornfed, and will also be purchasing a set of Spidertrax wheel spacers. I just can't stand how long it took for my 2/1 kit to arrive (over a month) so if anyone has a 3/2 kit, or knows where I can get one faster than Burtman, please let me know, otherwise I will be placing my order (reluctantly) and then the wait will begin.

No, I'm actually planning on keeping the same tires, they are already bigger than stock. Here's a link to what a 4runner looks like with the setup I will have. 265/70/17 tires, with a 3/2 lift and Spidertrax spacers.

As for why, it's just because every time I look at my truck, I feel like it's missing something still. The 2/1 looks like it should from the factory, so it barely looks lifted at all to me. Unless it's next to another 4th Gen, you can't even tell.
 
wow that doesnt look as bad as I thought

perhaps putting the running boards back on will make it look a bit better imo...pics when finished!
 
We'll see. I have grown to hate running boards, so if anything I would get rock sliders.

Here's another truck with a 3/2, and 265/70/17 tires, as well as wheel spacers. He doesn't have running boards.

Those wheel spacers are alot bigger than the ones I ordered so mine will look like the first truck more than the second.
