I just got her!!!!

I drove from Shreveport LA to Greenville TX yesterday. A 6 hour round trip to pick her up but I found her. 91 4runner, SR5 22RE with a 5 speed. I think it should be a G58 tranny in her. Got 270,xxx on it but made the 3 hr trip home like a champ. It even has a spare rebuilt 22re in the back that was part of the deal. Plus, a spare front 3rd member and other trimmings. He gouged $1700 out of me for it.. lol I will be posting pictures soon! So I am now the proud papa of a little lady old enough to buy beer!

I am starting kinda mild, fixing her basic problems: steering gear box leaking, oil pan gasket, rear window motor..... I am going to fix my second gen sag this week too. Then it's prep the rebuilt motor that came with her for surgery, cv boots and then we are going expedition...... Looking to do plate front bumper, rear tire carrier with the jerry can, just for fun. Full length roof rack, lights.. the works. Oh yea, and paint..... She looks like an old fire truck and I ride one enough without driving one every day. She has bfg 31x10.5 ATs under her with about 75% of the tread left. My goal is to build a good truck that I can drive until they stop making gas........

Thats a great combo of power train and 4 door funtionality... It's too bad the top doesnt come of those 2nd Gens ;-)

Yea, that would've been the ultimate to have a removable roof. But, I am happy with her. I forgot to mention that I got a complete 3rd member for the front end in the deal. Basically I bought a rebuilt 22re, 3rd member and some other parts and the guy gave me a truck to drive the parts home in. :bravo:

I am stoked. If anybody has any advice or knows any tricks or upgrades, I am always all ears...
