As much as I would love an NA v8 in this thing I dont think it's going to happen :/

Old school guys like us will never be satisfied by modern engine standards. We can thank the epa. We're still lucky if we end up getting an "outdated" base engine, like the 3.6 in the new JL Wrangler. That said, I dig this.

If they made a Raptor Bronco or something like that, I would be somewhat tempted to try it. I can’t really see myself ever selling my 4Runner or thinking the Ford will be remotely as reliable. But if its a proper off-road desert / Baja inspired SUV would be right up my alley.

I have always enjoyed this enthusiast rendering which I still like more, but I don’t think they are too far off from this either.

The new "Godzilla" 7.3L is a pushrod so it would fit....

Wait for Shelby/Roush/Hennessey/etc. it'll happen.
