I love lamp, and 3.4's

2 or so months ago I totaled the 4runner. While looking for another 4runner I found my new love. 1989 Toyota pickup, 3.4 swap from a 2002 4runner

Iv owned it for 2 weeks and so far so good. Drives a straight line at 85mph.

locked front/rear 5.29's
85 front axle just rebuilt it
bilstiens on all corners
36x13.5 iroks

3.4 has intake, ill get pics of the swap. it looks factory
burns iroks threw 3rd gear..

Future plans are: Canopy- take out the 2 inch blocks and get a different hood- lights.. lights everywhere

When i have a day off ill take it to my muffler shop and have my headers installed and full exhaust done.
And weld on my sliders

Iv wheeled it around the woods and Iv pulled out a dodge, and two 2nd gen 4runners from nasty ass mud. As they were stuck i was pretty much driving circles around them, truck goes places I will never take it

I had a truck similar to that when I was your age (you're in HS iirc) it was awesome but soon turned into a nightmare. Judging by those pics it's been rode hard an put to bed wet. I hope you don't suffer the same fate I did, since then I vowed not to buy someone else's project.

Believe it or not, im the first person to ever wheel it. The PO was in the army and had this truck built in a shop. All papers to show, he used it as a DD when at home from war. Its not a project, its perfect. PO was an older man who cared for his things. I am not in highschool.

There isnt a single dent in this truck and the interior is as good as it was in 1989. I tend to keep it that way, I have a thing for 3rd gen toyotas. This is my 2nd one.
