a friend of mine has a 2012 4runner and hes graduating this month. i wanna get him something for his runner. he just got it lifted with rims and tires. he wants sliders, a satoshi grill, and projector headlights with the halos. i wanna get him something from this list or something else that would be cool for his car. me and a couple friends are going to go in on a gift for him so we wanna try to keep it under 500. any info would be much appreciated cause i have no idea where to even start looking. thank you!

1st of all, do you want to be my friend??!!! I have a list of stuff I want for my truck too! J/K, that is really cool of y'all.

If he cares more about looks and doesn't off road too much, get the satoshi grill. If he cares more about off roading and performance, then get the sliders. Many great companies make them. I have the Budbuilt Bumpout sliders and they've been great (plus they look cool!).

Just my 2 cents

Depends on a Satoshi with or without the Raptor grille.

For the raptor version: The "Raptor" Style Grill - Tacoma World Forums
And check in with HomerTaco when he's doing another 4Runner Batch.

Otherwise check here:

It's very cool that you want to do this for your buddy.

I'd suggest not trying to surprise him though by choosing the exact item. There are many styles of sliders and lights, and aesthetics play a big role in selection. Even the Grille mod is a personal choice.

My humble suggestion: buy a six pack of his favorite beer, wrap it like a present, and attach with a card telling him what the 'real' gift is ($$ towards his 4runner).

Good luck. Sounds like you're an awesome group of friends.

These items are difficult to get for the actual owner let alone buying them for someone else. All are expensive, except maybe the grill (which I'm not sure anyone makes pre-made). It is more of a DIY thing.

If he actually goes off-roading...
I would suggest something more generic and a little less expensive.

Ya I know. It's hard that why I was posting here. I think well just give him money towards it or a gift card to 4 wheel parts or something. I was wondering if anyone sold the mesh already done cause hats what I did with my truck

There is someone on this forum who sells pre-made satoshi grills, but from what I saw on his Instagram account he's in Seoul right now. Not sure when he's back, but send a pm to adio3x.

Get him a visa card. Parts for the 4runner from 4wheel parts tend to be generic. If he wants sliders or a new grill it's best not to have their markup in the way.
