i need louder exhaust damn it!

i have a 1997 v6 sr5 with a flowmaster on it. the only problem is that its just not loud enough for me. i'm pleased with the actual tone, but not the volume. i've heard that adding a k&n air intake would boost the sound a bit, personally i don't believe it. does anyone have any ideas?

You can cut the pipe so it dumps right after the muffler. My friend did this on his Chevy V6 and it makes it sound a little more throaty.
