I need new rear shocks!

Okay, so i need advice on rear shocks. I am running 890 coils and a 2" spacer. The coils have sagged a tad but are still sitting tall. I saw a similar thread but did not want to hijack it so i made this one. Any recommendations help.

If I didn't go with the 5125's, I'd woulda gone with some LC shocks. I've heard good things. What shocks are you running now?

I am loving my new Icon remote reservoir rears with the CDC valve. Amazing buttery ride to nice and stiff and everything in between.

and there you have it - a $50 shock, or a $500 shocks...spanning the gamut!

I'm planning on 5125s and 890s, appears to be a good match.
Not sure with the spacer though - what's that, bout 4.5" of lift?

I put on 5125's. They are good shocks for around 2-3" of lift. For what you have though, I'm sure the 5125's would work but you could still overextend them.

With the 890s and spacers you are at the perfect height to take advantage of the LC setup, 5125s are going to be a bit short.

Yeah thats what i thought. I was just wanting to purchase a little higher quality than the land cruiser shocks. I will also be extending bump stops.

Im currently running rough country shocks, I am unsure of the model number. But I blew my pass side shock the other week. My guess is by over extending it.

Hey Dirtdawg I am looking for rear shocks too. I am running rough country shocks too with 8wrap LC coils. I was researching and haven't found a longer shock with the travel these have. I have torn the upper rubber bushings out from dropping the rear axle. The 5125's only have 8.5" travel and the RC have 9.5". I have a call into Johnny at Wheelers to see if RC makes a longer shock for our rigs. Keep us informed if you come up with some. As will I.
