Hey guys! I'm looking at putting spacers and new shocks on my 4runner. I currently am looking at RanchoRSX shocks, and then i am debating what size spacers to get. I do not want to hyperextend my shocks. What is the best size spacer, so it will be safe? If i'm buying new shocks, i dont want to mess them up. Let me know!!

What year 4runner do you have?? What is your intended purpose??

If you want to be conservative, then i would get Bilsteins shocks and get 1" spacer for the front suspension (to even out the look on 4th gen 4runners). I am not a big fan of Rancho shocks from what i have heard/read in the past (more gimmick than real performance). Another good shock company is Edelbrock, but i am not sure if they have an application for 4runners. If you want a close-to-stock ride, then i would get Monroe Sensatrac.

My Application

Actually, i am really just doing this so it will look half way decent. The only real road driving i do is from my home to work which is only 5 miles. Most of my time is spent on our famlies farm. I have BFG all terrains on my 98 4runner and i love them, but it's looking kind of.. "slouchy" which is why i'm thinking about just getting the spacers
