I need some good adhesive remover

So I just pulled the hideous stripes going down the side of my new project and pretty much all of the old adhesive stayed on the truck. What's your best suggestion on getting that off without scuffing up the paint? I've tried Goo Gone, Goof Off and even thought maybe WD -40 would break it down but no such luck. Any suggestions? Paint is real clean so I don't want to mess it up. Thanks

Try Tar X. Never used it myself but I know the Iron X product works well.

Winter is probably a tough time to get adhesive off. I always mix up Goof Off and Goo Gone but the stuff in the little can works best IMO. Try it again with a heat gun or hair dryer. I hope you have a nice hot garage to work in. You can also try caulk remover made for bathroom caulk. It's about $8.00 in the paint department at Home Depot. It's very strong if you let it sit for several hours.

Try an adhesive eraser wheel; they're pricey, but most shops use them for taking off pinstripe & emblem adhesives. My local Napa sells them in the paint supplies section, but you can get them online as well. 3M Adhesive Eraser - Amazon

Picked up a 3m eraser wheel. Hopefully I will be able to pull it in the shop tomorrow and try it out. Things are pricey!! $45 but hopefully it's worth it.

I never had any luck using that wheel, but could be worth a try.

What I found that works incredibly is medical adhesive remover. It comes in small pads as it's meant to remove tape from skin, but it does wonders for removing adhesive without damaging paint.

The wheels work good, I also used acetone when I worked at a body shop.

^Acetone has always been the universal solvent in any of the organic organic chemistry classes I have ever taken. Well, that and water but I assume you have tried that.

Well the wheel was worth it's weight in gold on the adhesive. Stripped it right off and one wipe with a cloth got all the residue off. The passenger side stickers came of in big pieces and the drivers rear quarter came off in one piece. But the doors and fender sticker would not budge with heat or anything. So I figured no problem this wheel will handle it, but negative. It just burns the wheel up. I don't know if at some point those panels were replaced and new stickers put on or what but it's weird that just this panels are such a pain. Any ideas?
