I-Pod Use in 2006

I have a 2006 T4R Sport Edition with the 6 disc, 6 speaker stereo (non-JBL).

My question is whether or not I can listen to my IPod through the vehicle stereo speakers by plugging my IPod into the port located in the console?

Yeh that's what it's there for.. you just need a cable which you can get from just about any electronics retailer. It actually sets up pretty well with that little flip thing on the console which gives a nice surface to sit the ipod on. ..

Mine works great, though I find the volume has to be up higher than CD or radio(even with Ipod at Max volume). Go to your local radioshack and ask them for a male to male headphone cord. I paid $4 for a 1 ft cord, and it is just long enough to reach, but not too long to be in the way.

Best $4 spent ever.

2 quick ones.... though I don't use the little holder thing for the Ipod anymore. It was scratching it up, plus I feel the little fold out tray from the armrest is better.

No, its directly below the change holder. The change holder is still removable

Can someone tell me what pinouts from the 06 radio go to this mini plug?
It must be 3-4 wires that connect to the radio.

its alot easier than this makes it look cause they tell you and photo every little step, ive done this about 4 times now, quick and easy.

I bought an '06 JBL to replace my '05 JBL --- and I would like to add the accessory wires from the '06 as well. If anyone figures out how to add it, let me know.

About 3 weeks ago I installed the USA Spec unit to connect an IPOD. It should work better than hooking it up from the earphone connection ie. the '06 models.

On mine the volume is not controlled by the IPOD, strictly the radio.
